Tour Itinerary

Day 1:- Arrival at Kathmandu

Meal: L/D

Altitude: 1400m

Time taken: 20-25 minutes (around the city)

Mode of transport: Bus coach

After landing at Tribhuvan Internation Airport in Kathmandu by 08:00 hours our driver will meet you at the entrance gate. You will be welcomed by offering welcome drinks in the hotel. After checking into the hotel, our representative will brief you thoroughly the tour itinerary of your spiritual journey. In the evening, you can go to Pashupatinath temple for evening darshan.

Note : if you come in the morning we will submit the China Visa same day in Nepal . Please take Nepal Visa in Advance to avoid any immigration clearance time delay in Kathmandu Airport

Have you imagined spending your evening listening to the enchanting chimes of prayer bells? Your evening visit to Pashupatinath temple will definitely allow you to enjoy the enticing view of the temple while offering prayers. Pashupatinath is the national deity of Nepal. The temple is located on the banks of river Bagmati. Under the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites, this temple will completely surprise you with its wide sprawling collection of inscriptions, ashrams, temples, and images. In the evening you will not be allowed to visit. The evening aarti will be an amazing experience for you.

At night you will be staying at Kathmandu.

Day 2:- Kathmandu sightseeing

Distance: Kathamandu Sightseeing: 26km (2hours)

The following morning you will be moving the Kathmandu valley and relish the beauty of architecture located around the city. It is one of the ancient cities of the world so the ruins of this old city will tempt you definitely to rediscover the beauty. After breakfast, you will start your day with the visit to Pashupatinath temple. On the last evening you would have seen the temple in the evening, today you will observe the astounding architecture engraved on the temple. This cultural heritage site stands on the banks of River Bagmati over the centuries. According to Shaivites, it is one of the holy abodes of Lord Shiva. Built on 5th century under the Licchavi King, Prachanda Dev, this temple attracts the pilgrims for its architectural significance. In the inner sanctum of the temple, the prime idol is of the shape of Mukhalingamade out of stone with a silvery bounded yoni along with the serpent. The idol has faces directing in four primary directions of the world holding the rudraksha on right hand and kamandalu on the other. Your temple visit will be accomplished with the visit of all the other temple complexes within the main temple. In the inner and outer courtyard, you will find different temples dedicated to different lords. This pagoda styled temple architecture with wooden carved rafters will be a visual delight to enjoy.

Next, you will be traveling to the temple of Budhanilkantha temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Located in the northern part of the capital city, this beautiful temple is placed below the Shivapuri hills. The largest stone carving Vishnu statue is the largest one. The relevance of the statue is for its marvelous stone carved sculpting skills. You will find the prime deity reclining on the cosmic serpent named Shesha. The crown of Kirtimukha has made the deity look more adorable. The statue was sculpted back in the 7th century under the reign of Vishnu Gupta.

In the evening you can stroll around the streets of Kathmandu for shopping purpose. Stay overnight at the capital city.

Day 03 : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (Optional Bhaktapur Nagarkot tour at an additional cost)

Day 4:- Drive to Dhunche or ShyabruBesi

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: Kathmandu – 1400m

Syabrubesi – 2380m

Distance: 152km (7hours)

Mode of Transport: bus coach

Today you will be driving to Dhunche or ShyabruBesi, the towns located near the Rasuwagadhi border. En route, you will be seeing the beautiful sights of nature. While traveling to mountainous roads, natural beauty is at its best. Nature unravels its splendid aura on you. While traveling across the mountains, altitude has been a constant object of concern. In this journey in the mountainous terrains, you will be enjoying nature very closely. You can be opportune enough to recognize sunset in the mountainous rugged roads. In Rasuwagadhi you will be waiting to clear your immigration formalities. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a group departure journey mostly. It is advisable to complete the immigration procedures as a group in Rasuwagadhi border. Stay overnight at Rasuwagadhi.

Day 5:- Drive to Kerung

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: Rasuwagadi: 2600m, Kerung: 2700m

Distance: Syabrubesi to Rasuwagadhi: 15kms (1hour)

Rasuwagadhi to Kerung: 26kms(2hours)

Mode of Transport: bus coach

Till last night you will be in your comfort zone. From today onwards you will be starting your journey towards Mt. Kailash. You will be driving towards Rasuwagadhi border. From here you will be getting Tibetan guides along with Tibetan vehicle to enter the Tibetan Autonomous Region. It will be quite exciting for the pilgrims to enjoy the significance of no man’s land. In this autonomous region, one can feel the world without any geographical boundaries. You will stay overnight at Kerung.

Day 6:- Kerung to New Dongba via Saga

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: 4500m

Distance: 250kms (9hours)

Mode of Transport: bus coach

Today you will be driving to New Donga. Across the mountainous regions and green lush of plains, you will catch an incredible sight of mighty Brahmaputra. You will be driving via Saga. In the Tibetan language, it is known as happy land. As it is a border area, then you will find Chinese garrison patrolling across the border areas of Nepal and Tibet. On the way to Mt. Kailash, solo travelers and backpackers stay in these local motels. You will stay overnight at New Dongba.

Day 7:- New Dongba to Lake Mansarovar

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: 4500m

Distance: 385kms (10-12hours)

Mode of Transport: bus coach

Today you will be seeing the sight of Lake Mansarovar for the first time. It is the highest freshwater lake in the world. While traveling to Mt. Kailash one has to cleanse the impurities of the soul. Kailash yatra requires a complete dedication of the mind and soul. Negativities and pessimistic ideas remain away from the souls of pilgrims during this yatra. By taking a dip in the holy water of Lake Mansarovar, one purifies the soul before taking the large sanctified journey of Mt. Kailash. Many pilgrims offer rituals addressing the souls of ancestors. For the first time, you will get a glimpse of Mt. Kailash for the first time. The reflection of gigantic mountains in the water of Lake Mansarovar is quite enticing. At night you will be staying near the monastery of Chui Gompa.

Day 8:- Lake Mansarovar to Darchen

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: 4560m

Distance:30kms (3hours)

Today you will be taking bath in Lake Mansarovar for one more time before progressing towards Mt. Kailash. After taking bath, you will be driving to Darchen. On your way to Darchen, you can get the panoramic sight of Rakshas Taal. Earlier the pilgrims believed the Demon’s Lake as a negative source of energy. Due to mythological belief, it was the lake from where Ravana imbibed bad intentions in his mind. Darchen is the base camp for Mt. Kailash journey. You will stay the night in Darchen.

Day 9:- Drive to Yam Dwar. Start Parikrama to Dhiraphuk

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: Yamdwar: 4575m, Dhiraphuk: 4775m

Distance: Darchen to Yamdwar- bus coach

Yamdwar to Dhiraphuk – trek

Mode of Transport: first drive then trek

From today onwards you will be engaging in parikrama across Mt. Kailash. No one is allowed to climb high of Mt. Kailash due to its mythical and religious significance. You will be driving towards Yamdwar. From Darchen it is 10 km away taking an hour to reach. From Yamdwar, you will be trekking towards Dhiraphuk. The parikrama across Mt. Kailash covers 38km. you will be trekking towards Dhiraphuk on foot.

If you are physically not fit then you will have to take a pony. We carry our kitchen resources and camping logistics on yak or pony for the pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. After reaching there, you will get to view the beautiful and enormous sights of Mt. Kailash. Due to extreme weather conditions, you will have to take your food early.

Day 10:- Dhiraphuk to Charansparsh Same day tour

Meal: B/L/D

Trek from Dirapuk to Charansparsh and back Overnight stay in Dirapuk

Day 11:- Trek from Dhiraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: Zuthulphuk-4700m

Distance: 22kms (10hours)

Mode of Transport: trek

Today your trek will be starting after breakfast. From Dhiraphuk you will be trekking towards Zuthulphuk. On the way, you will be passing Gauri Kund. According to mythical folklore and religious scriptures, this lake is quite famous among the pilgrims. It is this very lake where goddess Parvati took bath and gave life to Lord Ganesh out of dirt and froth of her own body. So on the way to Kailash Parikrama, the pilgrims are obliged to get the sight of such auspicious lake. You will be trekking high till Dolma La Pass. This is the optimum height of the entire Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. By evening you will be trekking down to reach Zuthulphuk. At night you will be staying in a dormitory-style guesthouse.

Day 12:- Trek to Darchen and drive to Dongba

Meal: B/L/D

Distance: Zuthulphuk to Chendu- 8kms (4-5hours)- Darchan Drive

Darchen to Dongpa: 53kms (2hours)

Mode of Transport: trek and then drive

Today is the last day of your parikrama. After completing the last stretch of your journey, you will be completing the most sacred trip of your life. Very few can secure such sanctified moment in life and feel own self so close to the god. By completing this journey, you will feel spiritually close to Lord Shiva. Today you will be trekking around 08kms till Chendu and then drive to Darchen. You will need around 5hours to reach there. Our vehicles will be waiting on the other side of the trail. You will be completing your lunch near Darchen. From there you will be driving back to New Dongba completing the rest of parikrama of Lake Mansarovar. Today you will be staying in a guesthouse.

Day 13:- Drive Dongba to Kerung

Meal: B/L/D

Distance: 110kms (3-4 hours)

Mode of Transport: bus coach

Today you will be driving back to Kerung. You will be driving on the well-constructed road. The beauty of mountainous terrains will make you awe-inspiring continuously. You will be staying in Kerung for overnight.

Day 14:- Kerung to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi

Meal: B/L/D

Distance: 175kms (8hours)

Mode of Transport: bus coach

You reach the last stretch of your journey. Here you will be driving to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi border. In the border areas again you will have to complete your immigration formalities for further progress. Tonight you will be reaching the capital city with 7/8 hours.

Day 15:- Departure

Meal: B

Distance: around the city (hardly 30 minutes’ drive)
