A low headline price is not useful unless you know the route, room basis, operating minimum, transport assumptions and costs that can change after departure. Compare written quotes line by line.
Core quote assumptions
Confirm the exact start and finish point, group size, room sharing, hotel and guesthouse standard, meal plan, surface or air transport, guide and support team, permits and taxes. Ask which services are subject to minimum traveler numbers.
Common exclusions to clarify
International travel, insurance, medical tests, personal equipment, porter upgrades, single rooms, drinks, tips, extra nights, rescue and costs caused by weather or authority decisions may sit outside the base price. The written quote should control.
Compare value, not only totals
A fair comparison uses the same departure window, route, accommodation, staffing and contingency. Ask for the payment schedule, currency, refund basis and any non-refundable permit or supplier component.
Decision checklist
- Route and room basis are identical across quotes.
- Every inclusion and exclusion is written.
- Delay and cancellation costs are explained.
- No rating or availability claim is assumed without confirmation.
Turn your shortlist into a written quote
Compare the daily itinerary and accommodation basis before comparing totals. Ask for a cost breakdown covering transport, rooms, meals, permits, guiding and optional extras, with exclusions shown separately.
- Tell us your preferred month, group size, walking experience and room preference.
- Ask which seasonal conditions could change the route, journey time or accommodation choice.
- Confirm supplier holds and their expiry before accepting. A published departure date is not a reserved room or seat.
- Read the deposit, balance deadline and cancellation terms before paying. Allow time for supplier and permit checks; the team will confirm the booking timeline for your route.
