Indian travelers have a distinct entry position, but airlines, border points and age groups can have document procedures of their own. Check the current official rule before travel and carry the strongest accepted identification available.
Entry documents
Nepal Immigration currently states that Indian citizens do not require a visa. Its airport FAQ lists a valid passport and also discusses voter identification and documents for minors. Confirm the current airline or border requirement before departure.
Cash, cards and exchange
Ask your bank whether Nepal transactions and cash withdrawals are enabled. Use authorized exchange or banking channels and keep receipts where required. Carry more than one payment method because remote areas may not have reliable card or ATM access.
Paying a tour operator
Request an invoice naming the legal business, package, travel dates, currency, inclusions and payment schedule. Keep the receipt and written cancellation policy. Do not send sensitive identity documents or payment data through an unconfirmed channel.
